Lexology Names Shook Partners as Leaders in IP Law

Shook Partners Clint Newton and B. Trent Webb have been listed as leaders in IP Law in the Trademarks and Patent categories in the 2026 Lexology Index: Intellectual Property Report. Listed attorneys are considered leaders in their field and fewer than 50 percent of individuals considered are selected for inclusion.

Newton’s practice has involved all aspects of intellectual property law, including the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications; litigation in patent, trademark and copyright matters; conducting validity and infringement studies; and the drafting of various licensing agreements. 

Webb is Co-Chair of Shook’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group and practices exclusively in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. He has been lead trial counsel in more than 150 intellectual property cases and manages a practice group of more than 60 attorneys.
