Kevin is a litigator and intellectual property attorney who represents clients in patent litigation, antitrust matters and class action and complex litigation in federal courts and California state courts. He has over twenty-years of experience in all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation investigations and counseling through appeal. Kevin’s practice is focused on achieving client objectives with strategic planning, effective communication and efficient execution.
Kevin previously practiced in the litigation and IP groups at Sidley Austin, and the boutique law firms Russ August & Kabat and Rakoczy, Molino, Mazzochi & Siwik. With extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants on both sides of the v., he is skilled at developing and implementing case strategies that are successful at trial and hold up on appeal. Kevin has litigated cases in a broad range of technological areas, including the life sciences, medical devices, sports equipment, the mechanical arts, computer science and the electronic arts. He prides himself in helping clients bring their products to market, putting innovative technology in the hands of consumers, and providing medications and devices to the patients and healthcare professionals that need them.
Kevin was a chemistry major and varsity football player at Kalamazoo College, which instilled a strong work ethic, teamwork and the agility to adapt to new challenges. He pursued a career in litigation because of his desire to compete, and the challenges of the cases and relationships with his teammates continue to make the work rewarding. Outside of the office, Kevin is a parent, sailor, cyclist and fan of Detroit sports.
