Catherine is an attorney with the firm’s General Liability Litigation Practice. Before joining Shook, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William W. Hood III of the Colorado Supreme Court. As a clerk, she analyzed and researched complex civil and criminal legal issues, drafted opinions and internal memoranda, and prepared the Justice for oral arguments.
While in law school, Catherine was a law intern for the Colorado Department of Law’s Consumer Protection Section, where she assisted with discovery and complaint drafting in an investigation of a social media platform. She also worked as a summer and semester law clerk for the National Fair Housing Alliance, where she researched and developed innovative legal strategies in fair lending and fair housing investigations.
Before pursuing her J.D., Catherine worked for eight years at Capital One. Early in her career, she worked as a financial analyst in the Consumer Credit Card line of business. Catherine then served as a senior business analyst, where she led a team of software engineers and designers through a complex regulatory landscape to build an integrated communications platform. Eventually, Catherine worked as a product manager for the Auto Navigator website, where she developed a patented free-form search bar and created vehicle review pages to improve search engine optimization.
