Kevin’s practice focuses on product liability. His clients benefit from his decade of experience in the federal courts working closely with trial court judges in Philadelphia, Delaware, St. Louis and the U.S. Virgin Islands and appellate court judges across the U.S Courts of Appeals for the Third and Eighth Circuits.
In his roles as a law clerk and staff attorney in the federal courts, Kevin’s responsibilities included assisting judges in researching and drafting hundreds of substantive court opinions at the trial and appellate level, addressing discovery disputes and managing all aspects of the courts’ dockets. Through this extensive experience, Kevin has an insider’s perspective into how to position cases for success from the outset and how to craft winning arguments. He knows litigation rules and procedures thoroughly and is well versed in the roadblocks that can arise if they are not skillfully navigated.
While in law school, Kevin clerked for a Los Angeles firm, where he researched and drafted trial motions for civil cases. He also served as an advocate for the Pepperdine Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic, where he secured the return of a client's property from the United States Government after filing an appellate brief in the Ninth Circuit.
Before law school, Kevin completed terms of AmeriCorps service with the National Civilian Community Corps, the Northern Arizona Conservation Corps, and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. In projects for AmeriCorps, he was deployed to the Gulf Coast before Hurricane Katrina’s landfall and assisted in opening and running an emergency shelter; led a crew of young adults on backcountry conservation projects that included building and maintaining hiking trails; and trained and led volunteers in the construction of four Habitat for Humanity homes for low-income families in Denver. He also served as a trip leader for Bike and Build, leading a group of 30 riders on a cross-country bicycle trip to raise money for affordable housing projects. Additionally, he taught sixth grade at a school in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.
