Katya is a product liability and employment attorney in the firm’s Class Action and Appellate Litigation Practice Groups. She has defended major automobile manufacturers in high-stakes product liability matters and has represented property management companies in breach of contract and premises liability disputes. Katya also has experience representing employers in employment litigation, including claims involving workplace discrimination and wage and hour violations. Her employment practice includes successfully compelling arbitration, preparing and prevailing on dispositive motions, and managing complex discovery disputes. She is adept at developing litigation strategies that align with her clients’ business goals and has helped employers navigate sensitive workplace issues with discretion and efficiency.
Katya is skilled in handling all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation strategy and early case assessment to trial preparation and resolution. She has drafted dispositive motions that have led to dismissals and other favorable results, and she regularly advises clients on litigation risk, case management, and procedural strategy.
Katya earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she concentrated her studies in civil litigation and advocacy. During law school, she clerked for the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office and several private firms, including a large personal injury and medical malpractice firm.
