Rodrigo focuses his practice on complex litigation matters with a focus on product liability claims and toxic torts. He has comprehensive experience in product liability, personal injury, professional liability and premises liability matters.

Rodrigo has served as national counsel, regional counsel and local counsel in state and federal matters for clients in the automotive, chemical manufacturing and construction industries. He has extensive discovery, deposition and mediation experience. Rodrigo has litigated all aspects of personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and professional liability matters and has represented clients in class actions and commercial cases involving breach of contract and unfair business practice claims. 

Rodrigo excels in litigation management and has managed local and outside counsel in complex and multi-district litigation across multiple jurisdictions. He also develops and routinely executes litigation strategies for national clients.

Rodrigo is an advocate of professional diversity within the legal industry. He served on DuPont’s Minority Counsel Network’s Executive Leadership Board from 2012–2013. He is also committed to pro bono services, representing unaccompanied minors in family law and U.S. immigrations courts. 

Rodrigo was born and raised in Santiago, Chile, and is fluent in Spanish.


Representative Matters

Represented an industry-leading automobile manufacturer in a large-scale automotive product liability and consumer class action MDL and state court consolidated proceedings involving more than 200 nationwide class actions. 

Obtained a no-payment dismissal of a Fortune 500 company in a product liability and construction defect action where the plaintiffs sought more than $7 million in damages.

Obtained summary judgment for an international concert promoter in a personal injury action alleging severe brain injury where the plaintiff sought more than $6 million in damages. 

Obtained dismissal of a foreign original equipment manufacturer on personal jurisdiction basis in a product liability action where plaintiff sought more than $4 million in damages.

Counsel to a manufacturing client in numerous personal injury and wrongful death actions arising out of claimed exposure to herbicides, pesticides, solvents and numerous other chemical products.
