Paul worked as a software engineer for more than 19 years before becoming a patent attorney, and he uses this competitive edge in his intellectual property practice. Paul’s practice has focused on patent drafting and prosecution with an emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), cloud computing, advanced rendering, games, 5G, IoT, blockchain, and related technologies. He has also advised clients on their legal, technical and patent-related matters with a focus on intellectual property protection and preservation.
Paul’s previous career as a software engineer and architect benefits his IP clients in many industries, as it included developing software for a diverse range of products including medical devices, embedded systems, video games, location-based entertainment, and data visualization software. His many accomplishments ranged from designing and building several advanced surgical training simulations to creating one of the first fully-immersive virtual reality (VR) roller coasters.
