Whitney provides clients with comprehensive patent prosecution services and general patent counseling. She represents clients in all aspects of preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications in a number of diverse technology areas.
Whitney earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from the University of Kansas, and worked at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, Missouri, before attending law school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. During law school, Whitney focused on serving her community; co-chairing the schools’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, serving in the schools’ Low Income Tax Clinic, and working as a legal intern for the Public Interest Litigation Clinic. Whitney also served as a legal extern for the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she performed patent searches on developing medical products, drafted summaries of new technology for marketing, and facilitated technology transfers.
