Shook Maintains High Rankings in Chambers USA 2014; 21 Attorneys Recognized

Chambers & Partners has launched its 2014 edition of Chambers USA, recognizing Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s product liability, environmental, intellectual property, and labor and employment practices. Of particular note, Chambers stated that Shook has a “broad range of product liability clients and a great grasp of the science involved.”

Chambers once again recognized the firm with a Band 1 national rating in the area of Products Liability & Mass Torts, noting Shook’s prominence in tobacco and pharmaceutical cases and expertise in toxic tort and automobile matters.

Shook’s litigation practice garnered a Band 1 ranking in Missouri and Band 3 ranking in Florida, with a client describing Shook as a “very seasoned, accomplished litigation firm.” The firm’s environmental practice received a Band 1 ranking in Missouri and was characterized as “highly regarded for Superfund and other regulatory work, mass toxic tort lawsuits, litigation avoidance, and compliance counseling.”

Receiving a Band 2 ranking in Missouri, Shook’s intellectual property team was described by Chambers as enjoying “a reputation for strength in patent and trademark litigation,” while the firm’s labor and employment practice was praised by a client for its “extremely high level of expertise and service,” garnering a Band 2 ranking in Missouri.

Chambers also recognized 21 Shook attorneys with national and regional rankings.
