Shook Attorney Obtains CIPP/US Accreditation

Shook Of Counsel Jonathan Wilson has obtained Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) accreditation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). The CIPP/US is the leading credential for data protection professionals in the United States, reinforcing knowledge of and experience with a comprehensive approach to the protection of personal data and data flows. 

Wilson defends against product liability actions brought on pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and provides guidance on all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-litigation risk assessments, e-discovery issues and deposition preparation. He has significant experience in the collection, organization, analysis and production of client documents and has managed large-scale document collections and reviews with the assistance of third-party document review service providers. Wilson’s experience includes work on federal multidistrict litigation, state consolidated matters and individual state and federal cases.

The CIPP is considered the global standard in privacy and data security certification. Shook now boasts eight attorneys who possess CIPP certifications, with Wilson joining John Sherk, Tammy Webb, Al Saikali, Colman McCarthy, Kate Paine, Tatiana Rice and Palak Shah in having obtained the CIPP certification.
