Two Presentations at Consumer Goods Forum to Feature Shook Speaker

Shook Partner Naoki Kaneko will speak in two presentations at the Consumer Brands CPG Forum, February 19, at the OMNI PGA Frisco Resort in Frisco, Texas. Senior legal professionals in the consumer packaged goods industry from household and personal care to food and beverage products will be in attendance.

Kaneko will be one of three panelists from 11:00-11:45 a.m. CT in “Litigation: Caveats on Small Font for Big Impact─Legal Strategies in Disclaimers, Warnings and Arbitration.” He and his co-panelists will present on real-world examples of how effective fine print can shift liability, limit damages and ensure enforceability of arbitration provisions.

His second speaking session is the 5:00-6:00 p.m. roundtable, “Using Remedial Market Actions to Defend Litigation or Favorably Resolve,” where he’ll discuss how remedial actions can serve as powerful tools for companies to defend or resolve threatened or pending litigation. Kaneko will highlight actions that can be taken before, during and after litigation to mitigate liability.
