The Legal 500 U.S. 2012 Edition Recognizes Shook

Shook, Hardy & Bacon has been recognized as a nationally recommended firm in litigation and intellectual property in the newly released 2012 edition of The Legal 500 United States.

Lauded as “one of the beacons of the product liability world,” Shook received more tier-one and tier-two rankings in the product liability and mass tort defense section than any other U.S. firm. Shook was one of only three firms to receive top-tier recognition in the guide’s product liability: consumer products section, and one of six to receive a top-tier ranking in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices category. Additionally, Shook’s automotive/transport and toxic tort defense practices earned tier-two rankings, placing each group among the top 15 practices in the nation.

Shook was also highlighted in the guide’s intellectual property: patent prosecution section, which commended the firm for its “strong, broad-ranging patent prosecution and counseling practice,” singling out Shook’s expertise in the biotechnology, computer software and agricultural industries.

The Legal 500 featured 18 Shook partners, including Rob Adams, Mark Anstoetter, Walt Cofer, Stan Davis, Dave Erickson, John Garretson, Bill Geraghty, John Gibson, Mike Gross, Harvey Kaplan, Frank Kelly, Gary Long, Lucy Mason, Ken Reilly, Scott Sayler, John Sherk, Gene Williams, and Marie Woodbury.
