Kelly’s practice includes assisting clients in many aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis in patent-related matters. Her patent procurement experience includes preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications in various areas including computer software, artificial intelligence and machine learning, semiconductor devices, internet analytics, distributed/cloud computing, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, medical device, and the mechanical arts. She manages various aspects of patent portfolio development, including supervising attorneys in patent drafting and prosecution efforts, performing strategic analyses of patent portfolios, and developing and implementing patent filing strategies.
Kelly counsels clients in many aspects of intellectual property law and provides patentability, validity, and infringement analyses and opinions. She also conducts intellectual property portfolio analyses to assist clients with evaluating possible acquisitions of third-party patent portfolios and patent cross-licensing opportunities.
Kelly has experience with a variety of IP transactions, including joint development and collaboration agreements, technology licensing agreements, and patent acquisition agreements. Kelly’s experience further includes trademark prosecution and involvement in various intellectual property litigation matters.
